Raw Materials
Polyethylene terephthalate (PET, PETE, PETP) is a thermoplastic material of polyester family. Usable in soft drinks, food and beverage containers and synthetic fibers. Depending on the heat treatment, it is available in amorphous (transparent) and semi-crystalline (opaque and white) material.
The main advantage is that it is fully recyclable. Unlike other plastics, the polymer chains have also been restored for later use. PET is identified by 1 in accordance with raw material identification code.
